[Avionics Today 02-18-2015] Airbus is pursuing negotiations to sell its subsidiary Cimpa, which oversees product lifecycle management, to European IT company Sopra Steria. Airbus decided to sell Cimpa with the aim to refocus its core aeronautical activities, according to a statement released by the company.
Airbus will now discuss the terms and conditions of this sale with Sopra Steria in the coming weeks, and Cimpa will start an information and consultation procedure with the works council as required by law.
