[Avionics Today 12-22-2014] The Civil Aviation Authority of Mexico, the Dirección General de Aeronáutica Civil (DGAC), has issued full type certification to Bombardier for the Learjet 70 and Learjet 75 business jets. Both aircraft received FAA and Transport Canada certification in late 2013, as well as European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) approval in September 2014.

Eric Martel, president of Bombardier Business Aircraft, called the approval another "exciting milestone for the Learjet 70 and Learjet 75." The Bombardier executive also sees Mexico as a large market for both aircraft.

"The Learjet 70 and Learjet 75 business jets deliver impressive performance and efficiency, and they are ideally suited to respond to the needs of our customers in Mexico," said Martel.

Both the Learjet 70 and Learjet 75 feature the Bombardier Vision flight deck, with the fully integrated Garmin G5000 avionics package.
