[Avionics Today 12-16-2014] Rohde & Schwarz has completed site acceptance testing for its R&S VCS-4G voice communications system at the Laguindingan airport in the Philippine Misamis Oriental province.
Commissioned by the Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) and the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP), the fully integrated, IP-based, single-source system solution delivers voice services from the controller working position to the antenna. Along with its R&S Series4200 VHF and R&S M3SR Series 4100 HF radios, the company supplies Voice Over IP (VOIP) technology for Air Traffic Control (ATC) in the Philippines.
