[Avionics Today 11-7-2014] Surf Air has received its first Pilatus PC-12 NG business jet, the first of 15 on order for the Broomfield, Colo.-based private airline. The PC-12 NG will join a fleet of three legacy PC-12s that Surf Air currently operates.

Earlier this year, Pilatus introduced new features to the PC-12 NG flight deck, including a set of four iPad applications that interface with an onboard gateway system to provide a digital data exchange process between the aircraft, pilots and maintenance engineers.

Surf Air is looking to use its new PC-12 NGs to expand its service to Carlsbad, Calif., in November and Oakland, Calif., in December. Through 2015 and 2016 Pilatus will deliver the remaining PC-12 NGs on order while Surf Air considers exercising options on 50 additional options it has for future delivery positions.
