[Avionics Today 11-06-2014] Bombardier has appointed Munich, Germany-based Lufthansa CityLine as an Authorized Service Facility (ASF) for its CRJ700 and CRJ900 aircraft. With the new approval, Lufthansa CityLine has become Bombardier’s fourth European ASF. This will enable Lufthansa CityLine to offer the full range of line and heavy maintenance services for Bombardier CRJ700s and CRJ900s.

“With our maintenance facility located in Cologne, we are well positioned to offer the added flexibility airlines are looking for when they plan and perform maintenance,” said Michael Kniter, managing director of Lufthansa CityLine.

The regional carrier was also the launch customer of the CRJ aircraft in 1992, Bombardier said.
