[Avionics Today 10-24-2014] Jeppesen and Honeywell Aerospace have introduced the Integrated Navigation Data Service (INDS) Data Manager for Windows, a new cloud-based database update delivery service. The INDS data manager (IDM) service eliminates physical delivery of update media and aims to simplify the overall data update process.

The tool provides instant access to chart serial numbers, eliminating the need to request temporary access codes and also features an improved capability to pause and resume data downloads. Additionally, it is designed to support future enhancements such as a potential wireless data-loading interface.

The new service is designed for aircraft equipped with Honeywell Primus Epic Integrated Navigation (INAV) or Primus Apex avionics. IDM support for Primus Elite and Control Display System/Retrofit (CDSR) series avionics will be available in the near future.
