[Avionics Today 10-10-2014] Jeppesen and Honeywell Aerospace have introduced the Integrated Navigation Data Service (INDS) Data Manager for Windows, a cloud-based database update delivery service. The INDS Data Manager (IDM) service is set to eliminate physical delivery of update media and simplify the data downloading process, according to the companies.
The IDM tool provides instant access to chart serial numbers, allows users to pause and resume data downloads for additional convenience and is designed to support future enhancements such as a potential wireless data loading interface.
The new service is designed for aircraft equipped with Honeywell Primus Epic Integrated Navigation (INAV) or Primus Apex avionics.
