[Avionics Today 08-18-2014] The Bermuda Department of Civil Aviation (DCA) recently approved the Vector Safety Management System (SMS) to comply with the country’s SMS mandate requiring foreign business aviation operators to have an SMS program in place or started. Bermuda is the first country in the world to issue this mandate and also requires SMS for flight departments based within the nation.
The web-based Vector SMS program is available to Rockwell Collins Direct customers and integrates with ARINC Direct flight operation services so customers can implement all critical components of safety management.
