[Avionics Today June 11, 2014] Aeromexico has signed a new agreement that will make it the first Latin American airline to offer in-flight broadband connectivity, according to Panasonic Avionics. The Mexican carrier has selected Panasonic’s Ku-band satellite for its fleet of new Boeing 787s. Along with access to in-flight Wi-Fi, Panasonic will also provide its In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) screens and moving map application for passengers.

"Their passengers can now expect an incredible entertainment experience and broadband Wi-Fi everywhere these aircraft fly," said Paul Margis, CEO for Panasonic Avionics.
