[Avionics Today May 2, 2014] Portuguese aircraft charter Hi Fly is adding a Flight Focus In-flight Entertainment (IFE) system to its commercial fleet of Airbus A330 aircraft.

Under a new agreement, the Singapore-based IFE and Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) provider will supply a server, wireless access points and a cabin control panel. According to Flight Focus, their FFP Server and wireless access points are capable of streaming video for all passengers simultaneously.

The Cabin Control Panel also provides upload speeds of up to 400 Megabytes per second.

"As passengers increasingly expect to use their own devices for IFE, onboard shopping and communications, the Flight Focus system will have plenty of capacity to meet Hi Fly’s needs,” said David Borkowski, vice president of business development at Flight Focus.
