Rockwell Collins has a new agreement with Cascade Aerospace to provide avionics upgrades for the Mexican Air Force’s two C-130K Hercules military transport aircraft.

Cascade’s selection of Rockwell Collins was announced at the 2014 Feria Internacional del Aire y del Espacio (FIDAE) exhibition in Santiago, Chile. Under the new agreement, Rockwell Collins will provide its Flight2 integrated avionics system for the two C-130Ks.

“Mexican Air Force pilots will experience greater situational awareness and communications capabilities with the highly advanced avionics on board these aircraft,” said Alan Prowse, vice president and managing director, the Americas for Rockwell Collins. “This government-to-government contract via Canadian Commercial Corporation (CCC) will complete the modernization of Mexico’s two C-130K Hercules aircraft."
