[Avionics Today March 17, 2014] Jettech and Ultra Electronics Flightline Systems have partnered to develop a new Digital Engine Display (DED) replacement designed for Cessna Citation 500 series aircraft.

The display is designed to replace the legacy analog vertical tape gauges on the Cessna Citation 500, using the existing connectors. Along with the display come field upgradable software, fuel computer functions and a Reversionary mode function.

Rob Irwin, founder and member/manager of JETTECH, said the new unit offers an enhanced display and digital fuel consumption reporting by connecting to existing GPS systems to give real time fuel consumption and accurate time remaining.

Both Jettech and Ultra Electronics Flightline Systems are awaiting Federal Aviation Administration approval of a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for the DED.
