Jeppesen has upgraded its FliteDeck Pro electronic flight bag (EFB) iPad solution to begin automatically displaying airport taxi diagrams based on user-configured speed settings, the Boeing Digital Aviation subsidiary said Wednesday.

The upgraded EFB can with to the airport diagram display using a STAR procedure, en route map or an approach procedure. Other new upgrades include a new integrated distance-measuring tool to minimize the need for pilot app interaction and a new capability for previewing and selecting charts.

“We continually interact with the pilot community to ensure that our solutions meet real-world operational needs and simplify complex processes for operators,” said Tim Huegel, director, Jeppesen Aviation Portfolio Management.
