The AirBerlin group has seined a seven-year "Avionics-by-the-hour" (ABTH) agreement with Thales in support of maintenance and spares provisioning for its fleet of A320 family aircraft. The German carrier has a total of 64 A320s, and will receive access to components, maintenance and logistics services at AirBerlin group hubs in Berlin, Dusseldorf and Vienna.

"We constantly strive to improve our component support supply chain to reduce the cost of material ownership," said Marco Ciomperlik, CEO of AirBerlin Technik.
