The upgrade was “predominantly a Garmin upgrade,” according to Dewey Conroy, vice president of Pacific Coast Avionics. The avionics supplier also added the Garmin G-600 EFIS/MFD, dual GTN-750 touchscreen GPS/NAV/COMS and dual GTX-33/ES Mode S Transponders to the cockpit.

Upon completing the upgrade, Pacific Coast achieved a new Reduced Vertical Separation Minimum (RVSM) for the Citation V.

“This new avionics package provides capabilities not found in most legacy Citation series aircraft such as WAAS GPS approaches, multiple multi-function displays, touchscreen flight management systems, multiple in-flight weather capabilities and displays, and full ADS-B ‘In’ and ‘Out’ functions,” said Conroy.
