The SN4500 features a Night Vision Imaging System (NVIS) option and a full-color moving map capable of supporting GPS or FMS waypoints. Sandel will install dual SN4500s in helicopters that will be operated by the French Army.

According to Jerry Henry, director of technical sales for Sandel, the company’s SN4500s were chosen after retrofitting a fleet of French Army training helicopters with dual SN3500 primary navigation displays.

Sandel did not say when it would complete the installation for the fleet of Pumas.
