Esterline CMC Electronics signed a license agreement for the manufacture of its CMA-2012C Doppler Velocity Sensor in Russia with Ulyanovsk Instrument Manufacturing Design Bureau (UIMDB). Under the terms of the agreement, UIMDB will manufacture the Doppler Velocity Sensor and offer it to all helicopter manufacturers in Russia. Jeppesen and Dassault Falcon introduced a new version of the software system to optimize the flight preparation and performance calculation process for users of Falcon EASy Flight Deck series avionics.
The Falcon Perf takeoff and landing tool from Dassault integrates Jeppesen navigation data. The new version of Falcon Perf will run on a Windows 7 64-bit operating system and be compatible with the upgraded EASy II avionics suite, which was recently approved for use on all Falcon EASy aircraft. It will be available on 7X, 900DX/LX/EX EASy and 2000DX/LX/EX EASy models.

Honeywell established Paris-based Eclipse as a satellite communications distributor in the EMEA region, giving business jet operators access to complete satcom sales and aftermarket support for Honeywell satellite communications hardware.
According to Honeywell, Eclipse will leverage its experience as a satellite communications systems provider to expand Honeywell’s established service and support infrastructure across the region, ensuring delivery to end customers of related hardware and services, including Honeywell’s Aspire and HD-710 satcom systems, CNX network accelerator and antenna hardware. Eclipse’s relationship with Inmarsat will also allow Eclipse to sell Honeywell-developed hardware that will connect to Inmarsat’s upcoming GX Aviation network and provide consumers with global in-flight Wi-Fi.
Avidyne, of Lincoln, Mass., received a FAA Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for the installation of its DFC90 Digital Autopilot in Beechcraft Bonanza when interfaced with the Evolution Pro Primary Flight Display (EFD1000 PFD) from Aspen Avionics of Albuquerque, N.M. Avidyne previously certified the DFC90 with the Aspen PFD in Cessna 182 Skylane, and with the Entegra PFD in the Cirrus SR20 and SR22 and in the Piper PA-46 Matrix and Mirage.

Greenwich AeroGroup companies, Atlantic Aero in Greensboro, N.C., and Western Aircraft in Boise, Idaho, have both received AS9110 quality system certifications. The AS9110 Standard focuses on MRO services and is an offshoot of the AS9100 Standard that addresses the aviation industry.
Greenwich’s Summit Aviation in Middletown, Del., was previously AS9100 certified. Summit provides MRO services for fixed- and rotor-wing operators and is also a heavy provider of modification and specialized mission services for many government entities. FLYHT Aerospace Solutions received a FAA activation Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for its Automated Flight Information Reporting System (AFIRS) 228 on the Boeing 777. Rockwell Collins launched HeliSure, a family of products that will provide helicopter pilots with situational awareness.
HeliSure delivers sensor data in real time through a user interface that features 3-D visualization for information that pilots can process. The first two products of the HeliSure family are Helicopter Synthetic Vision System (H-SVS) and Helicopter Terrain Awareness and Warning System (H-TAWS), which have been selected by AgustaWestland for the AW149, AW189, AW101 and AW169.
Rockwell Collins’ H-SVS system is an integrated software application that can be ported to most current generation large format displays, according to the company.
