OnAir is expanding the in-flight connectivity program for Saudia, national carrier of Saudia Arabia, to include commercial flights between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and most
of the airline’s worldwide destinations.

Mobile OnAir and Internet OnAir will be featured on Saudia’s new Airbus A330 aircraft scheduled for delivery throughout 2013 and into 2014. Those services along with OnAir’s GSM and Wi-Fi services will be added to the airline’s 20 Boeing 777-300ERs.

Saudia’s aircraft will use Inmarsat’s SwiftBroadband satellite network.

OnAir reports that the decision to expand coverage for Saudia’s fleet was partially influenced by comments from the airline’s passengers received via social media networks noting the convenience of being connected in the air.
