US Airways has approved a new airborne asset tracking system, the SENTRY FlightSafe system from OnAsset Intelligence (OnAsset).

FlightSafe is a cellular-based sensing device that includes sensors for temperature, humidity, pressure and location regarding the condition of cargo in transit. The information is transmitted to the airline’s customers through GPS signals.

“SENTRY FlightSafe greatly improves our shipment tracking and security. It provides location, environmental sensing, virtual security and temperature monitoring to cargo shipments transported on US Airways’ mainline network,” said Todd Anderson, managing director of US Airways Cargo.

OnAsset now has a commercial airline network of 10 carriers and 10 independent operators with the addition of US Airways. More
