China Eastern and Hainan Airlines have signed agreements with Thales to equip their Airbus aircraft with the Thales TopFlight Management System.
Hainan will deploy the system on 15 Airbus A330s, and China Eastern will equip a future fleet of 50 A320s with the TopFlight system.
Thales said the aircraft will be equipped with the updated TopFlight system, which allows for new approach capabilities such as Required Navigation Performance with Authorized Capacity (RNP AR).
“This choice is confirming that the Thales FMS is a highly attractive alternative for Airbus operators,” said Oliver Guibert, president of Thales China and North Asia region.
