Lockheed Martin placed an order to Quantam3D for its Mantis Real-time Scene Management software for use in flight simulators.

Quantam3D said Lockheed Martin will use the Mantis software to enable its simulation systems integration labs (SimSils) to provide more engineering simulation services for development of control laws and avionics and verification testing of operational flight programs. Lockheed’s SimSil facilities support F-22, F-35, F-16, C-130 and C-5 platforms.

"As the complexities of global defense and commercial aerospace increase, Quantum3D is committed to providing the highest-quality, most powerful, effective and cost-efficient simulation solutions anywhere in the world,” said Arthur Yan , president, Quantum3D.

The two companies did not announce the financial terms of the order.
