Kimberly Murdoch

ACSS, a L-3 Communications and Thales joint venture company based in Phoenix, named Kimberly Murdoch vice president of operations. Murdoch will be responsible for overseeing various operations departments at ACSS, including manufacturing, repair and overhaul and supply chain management.

Prior to joining ACSS, Murdoch spent the last seven years at Honeywell Aerospace where she held several positions, most recently as senior director for Electrical Global Planning-Integrated Supply Chain. Working out of Switzerland, she previously was director of materials planning and procurement for Europe, the Middle East, Africa and India. Prior to Honeywell, Murdoch also held positions at Boeing and Pratt & Whitney.

Steve Morrow

Boeing subsidiary Insitu, of Bingen, Wash., named Steve Morrow president and CEO. Morrow succeeds Steve Sliwa.

Morrow most recently was director of Boeing’s Stand-off Strike unit, leading long-range weapons programs including the U.S. Navy’s Harpoon and SLAM ER missiles, the U.S. Air Force’s Air Launched Cruise Missile, the Next Generation Cruise Missile and Boeing’s portion of the Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense program.

Morrow joined Boeing in 2002 following his retirement as Navy program manager for the Tactical Tomahawk development program and the Tomahawk Block III recertification and remanufacture program. Earlier he led Naval Air Systems’s P-3C Update III aircraft programs and was assigned to the Navy’s Acquisition Executive in the Pentagon. He also served as P-3C mission commander and battle group tactical action officer.

Amanda Joyner

The General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) named Amanda Joyner director of government affairs.

Joyner comes to GAMA from the office of Rep. Howard Coble (R-N.C.) where she most recently was senior legislative assistant. Her responsibilities included work on the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, advising the Congressman on aviation, highway and Coast Guard issues.

Dana Cox

Piper Aircraft named Dana Cox director of sales for the Asia/Pacific region.

With more than 35 years of global aerospace experience, Cox previously was general manager of international sales and operations management at ITOCHU Aviation, a U.S. subsidiary of ITOCHU Corp., the Tokyo-based trading company. Prior to that, Cox served in several special mission aircraft marketing positions for Beech Aircraft Corp., where he also was a regional marketing manager in the Pacific Rim and in Europe.

Paul Eckert

Boeing subsidiary Jeppesen, based in Englewood, Colo., named Paul Eckert vice president, aviation, Europe. Eckert will be based at the Jeppesen office in Neu-Isenburg, near Frankfurt, Germany.

Eckert, a current ATP license holder and commander of the MD-11 aircraft, will lead Jeppesen’s European, Middle East and African operations. Most recently, Eckert was an advisor for the Jeppesen senior leadership team for several years. Eckert has also held positions as a flight operations consultant and safety expert for national and European Union aviation regulation authorities. Eckert also has served as an executive and board member of a major European airline.

Jeffrey Turner

Rockwell Collins’ board of directors elected Jeffrey Turner, president and CEO of Spirit AeroSystems Holdings. He also serves on the board of directors of INTRUST Financial Corp.

In his 38-year career, he has held positions of increasing responsibility at Boeing and Spirit AeroSystems.

Marty Kretchman

Marty Kretchman has been named general manager of Landmark Aviation’s Asheville, N.C., FBO.

He is a former corporate pilot and has been on the National Air Transportation Association’s Airports Committee since 2007. In addition to Avion Jet Center, Marty has held the post of general manager at Volo Aviation in Sarasota, Fla. In 2010, he was part of the team that opened Suncoast Air Center at the Venice, Fla., airport.

NATA Board

The National Air Transportation Association (NATA), based in Alexandria, Va., elected three new members to its board of directors S. Michael Scheeringa, Marian Epps and Ed Kilkeary.

Scheeringa is the president of Signature Flight Support and is responsible for Signature Flight Support’s more than 100 fixed base operations. Before joining Signature, he was CEO of Flight Options. Prior to that, he spent 13 years at US Airways, held officer-level positions, and had the oversight of several of the company’s wholly owned subsidiaries.

Epps is CFO of Epps Aviation, an FBO based at Dekalb Peachtree Airport in Atlanta. Epps spent 10 years working in the securities industry. She joined Epps Aviation in 1993.

Kilkeary, a former military pilot, is the CEO, president and founder of L.J. Aviation. L.J Aviation manages a fleet of 31 multi-purpose aircraft. He holds 11 type ratings and an ATP in both helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft, and has logged more than 24,000 flight hours to date.

Peter Rutherford

Innotech Aviation Group, based in Montreal, named Peter Rutherford regional manager of technical sales for Europe, Russia Commonwealth of Independent States and Africa.

Rutherford has more than 30 years of aerospace experience. After a career in the military, he moved on to GE and the Kimberly Clark Flight Department U.K. He joins Innotech from Bombardier Aerospace where he held the position of aerospace manager of its International Customer Response Team.

Innotech Aviation provides interior completions on “green” aircraft, interior refurbishment, exterior paint, maintenance, repair and overhaul, avionics installations/modifications, mechanical/avionics design and engineering to the business aviation community.

Stéphane LeRoy

Bombardier Aerospace appointed Stéphane LeRoy sales director, South America and Caribbean. He is responsible for all Learjet, Challenger and Global aircraft sales in South America and the Caribbean, excluding Brazil. Leroy will be based in Montréal.

LeRoy has spent more than 13 years in international sales in the aviation industry. He has been with Bombardier since 2001, serving in various sales and marketing roles.
