L-3 Link Simulation & Training (L-3 Link) was awarded a one-year contract option to continue as the prime contractor and provide support for the U.S. Navy’s E-6B Aircrew Training System (ATS). This contract option has increased the total program value for the E-6B ATS to $57.1 million. The E-6B ATS, which is located at Tinker Air Force Base, Okla., provides aircrew and mission crew training with instructor-led, computer-based and simulator training.

Academic and simulator aircrew instruction delivered by L-3 Link supports initial qualification, instructor upgrade, refresher, re-qualification, instrument ground school and crew resource management training. In addition to maintaining instructional courseware, L-3 Link operates, maintains and modifies all E-6B ATS training devices, including providing scenario development and maintenance for the program’s newest E-6B Weapon Systems Trainer. Thirteen E-6B maintenance training devices are also maintained by L-3 Link.
