Rockwell Collins is offering its Venue High Definition cabin management system as an aftermarket upgrade for business jets, the company announced this week at EBACE. The retrofit solution will be available through qualified Rockwell Collins dealers.

Venue offers wide-screen and high definition in-seat and bulkhead displays, switch and touchscreen controllers, HD sources such as the Venue Media Center and Dual Blu-Ray Disc player, plus integrated audio-on-demand, audio and video jukebox, and support for passengers’ personal electronic devices. Venue’s onboard data network, including wired and Wi-Fi options, integrates with various broadband services, enabling passengers to stay connected and productive via laptops, voice-over IP, or other personal devices throughout flight. The system’s HDMI and VGA ports allow computers to be displayed on the cabin monitors, enabling passengers to collaborate on and to share presentations or other content. This system has been certified on both the Hawker Beechcraft King Air 350i and Cessna Citation CJ4 aircrafts.
