Derco Aerospace, a Sikorsky Aerospace Services company based in Milwaukee, signed an expanded agreement to distribute and install ASB Avionics’ HF Shunt Antenna upgrades for the C-130s, L-100s and P-3s, and glass cockpit upgrades for the C-130s and L-100s exclusively in Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Taiwan and Thailand. ASB Avionics is based in Mojave, Calif.

Applicable to any C-130, L-100 or P-3 equipped with an HF long wire antenna, the HF Shunt Antenna upgrade is integrated into the aircraft’s dorsal fin, eliminating the need for the long wire and improving the reliability of the HF system, Derco said. Both the HF Shunt Antenna and avionics upgrades are STC certified by FAA. The avionics upgrade is also compliant with current Communications, Navigation, and Surveillance/Air Traffic Management (CNS/ATM) mandates.
