ARINC added a High Frequency Data Link (HFDL) station in Panama to enhance its GLOBALinkSM HFDL coverage. The GLOBALink service provides aeronautical voice and data link services, using a network of 15 HF stations around the world. The new station was installed with cooperation and logistical assistance from Panama’s Autoridad Aeronautica Civil, and with support from Copa Airlines, an extensive user of this service, ARINC said. The new station reinforces ARINC’s HFDL signal coverage in the Caribbean and along the Pacific coast of Central and South America.
