Innovative Solutions & Support (IS&S), Exton, Pa., launched a Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS) program with Lateral Precision Performance with Vertical Guidance (LPV) for its PC-12 Cockpit/IP Flat Panel Display System. The company made the announcement at this week’s National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) convention in Orlando, Fla. WAAS capability is being offered by IS&S for both single-side and full-cockpit display architectures, allowing PC-12 operators to fly precision approaches at smaller airports. IS&S will submit the WAAS autopilot coupled LPV approach for FAA certification, and it expects to receive certification within 90 days.
