Honeywell Avionics on Kingfisher Airlines

Honeywell was selected to provide the full-suite of avionics and its Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) for Indian airline Kingfisher Airlines. Financial terms were not disclosed. Also, under terms of the contract, Honeywell will provide a comprehensive maintenance program for APUs. The agreement covers avionics for new Airbus A320s, A330s and A340s, as well as 131-9A model APUs for new A320s. Delivery of Honeywell avionics and APUs are underway and will continue through aircraft deliveries planned until 2011. The selected Honeywell avionics systems include Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System, Airborne Collision Avoidance System, Weather Radar with Forward-Looking Windshear Detection, solid state Flight Data Recorder & Cockpit Voice Recorders, Quantum Line Communications & Navigation System, Flight Management Systems and Air Data Inertial Reference System. Kingfisher also selected high speed Satellite Communication System on its A330 and A340 fleet.
