Satcom hardware from SkyTrac, Kelowna, British Columbia, was selected by Slave Lake Helicopters, based in Northern Alberta, Canada, for its mixed fleet of Eurocopter (AS350 and EC120) and Bell (206) aircraft. Slave Lake Helicopters is active in tree planting, fire-fighting and oil exploration. SkyTrac, which provides satcom services for data, text and voice communications, said the hardware is being fitted to the AS350 and 206 by ACROHELIPRO of Langley, British Columbia, and to the EC120 by Western Avionics of Calgary, Alberta. The company’s hardware has been installed on a large number of rotary and fixed wing aircraft types, including AgustaWestland, Eurocopter, Bell, Sikorsky, MBB, Beechcraft, de Havilland and LearJet.
