Honeywell received FAA designation as a consultant for Required Navigation Performance Special Aircraft and Aircrew Authorization Required (RNP SAAAR) operational approvals. RNP SAAAR procedures help aircraft fly more precise approaches and departures, increasing operational efficiency and reducing operating costs, noise and emissions. Honeywell said this designation will permit it to help aircraft operators with the RNP SAAAR approval process. Honeywell is offering customers consulting service to include: RNP pilot training, navigation data validation, RNP monitoring and RNP prediction services. This month, Gulfstream received FAA approval to fly RNP SAAAR airport approaches on its G550, G500, G450 and G350 business aircraft.
