Honeywell in A380 Avionics Maintenance Deal

Honeywell will provide avionics maintenance services for Singapore Airlines’ A380 fleet, the companies announced this week. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Singapore Airlines began using its A380, the world’s largest airplane, in October 2007. Singapore Airlines has ordered 19 A380s.  Honeywell will provide avionics maintenance for 14 years from the first aircraft delivery. Under the agreement, Honeywell will supply Singapore Airlines fleet of 19 A380s with spares and logistics management for maintenance services on Honeywell products, including the flight management system; satellite communication system; air data inertial reference system; aircraft environment surveillance system, which includes the weather radar, traffic collision alert avoidance system, mode S transponder and Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning Systems; and the secondary electric power distribution system for the A380 aircraft.
