Avionica Buys Patent

Avionica, Miami, completed the purchase of a U.S. Patent involving vehicle data collection, wireless transmission and preventative maintenance. "As aircraft become increasingly data-centric, customers are demanding automation to drive proactive maintenance and deliver higher dispatch reliability and efficiency in today’s fiercely competitive environment," said Avionica Vice President Stylian Cocalides. "Wireless automation is the key. This patent provides Avionica a unique market advantage in the delivery of wireless automation required for effective aircraft reliability and efficiency enhancement." Avionica said it has wireless data collection STC certifications available for Boeing 727, 737, 747, 757 and DHC-8 aircraft.
