Avionics display company Barco signed an agreement with Thales to supply advanced Control Display and Management Systems (CDMS) for use in its new TopDeck avionics suite. Belgium-based Barco said Thales’ TopDeck unit with its CDMS will debut inside the Sikorsky S-76D civil helicopter. Barco said its CDMS-3000 that will be incorporated into the glass cockpit of the Sikorsky S-76D is a 6.75 inches high Control Display Unit. It will operate as the data terminal for the entire TopDeck suite. The CDMS-3000 unit is compatible with the Arinc 429 and/or Mil-Std-1553 interfaces and supports Ethernet, mass memory and USB memory front loading. For related news
