Shanghai Airlines said it will use Rockwell Collins avionics on 13 Boeing 737NG aircraft. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The airline said the two key components of the avionics package are the WXR-2100 MultiScan Hazard Detection System and the GLU-920 Multi-Mode Receiver. The avionics package also includes a complete array of Rockwell Collins sensors. Deliveries are scheduled to run through 2010. The Shanghai Airlines contract comes a day after TAP Portugal said it will use Rockwell Collins avionics on five Airbus A330s. Earlier this month, Boeing selected Rockwell Collins’ suite of displays, autopilot, communication, navigation, surveillance, maintenance, emergency and data management systems for its 747-8 family.
