TAP Portugal to Use Rockwell Collins Avionics

TAP Portugal will use Rockwell Collins avionics on five Airbus A330s with an option for one additional aircraft. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Lisbon-based TAP Portugual said the key features of the avionics package include the Rockwell Collins WXR-2100 MultiScan Hazard Detection System and the GLU-925 Multi-Mode receiver. Deliveries begin this year. The airline also selected Rockwell Collins VHF-2100 Very High Frequency Data Radio. the ADF-900 Automatic Direction Finder, DME-900 Distance Measuring Equipment, HFS-900D High Frequency System, CPL-920D Coupling Unit and the VOR-900 VHF Omnidirectional Radio.
