Bernhard Gerwert has been selected to head the EADS Defence Electronics business unit in Ulm, Germany. He succeeds Johann Heitzmann, who has been appointed head of EADS Military Aircraft business unit. Heitzmann, in turn, succeeds Aloysius Rauen, now chief executive officer of Eurofighter GmbH. Marc Mastrangelo recently was named director of manufacturing at Tel-Instrument Electronic Corp., Carlstadt, N.J. Reston, Va.-based SI International Inc. recently named Bill James its senior vice president of defense and intelligence business development. Thomas St�ger has been named the new chief executive in charge of products and services within Lufthansa Technik AG’s executive board. Starting Nov. 1, he will replace Gerald Gallus, who will retire after 25 years with the Hamburg, Germany-based company.
