Hardin, VP and General Manager

Ametek Inc., Paoli, Pa., has promoted John Wesley Hardin to the position of vice present and general manager of its Aerospace Division. He previously was vice president and general manager of Ametek's Dixson Division. Hardin joined the company in 1998 as the Dixson Division's director of sales and marketing. Dendekker, Sales Manager

John Dendekker recently was hired by J.A. Air Center as avionics installation sales manager. He comes to J.A. Alvis, Director, Ground-Based Programs

As part of a move to increase its presence in the U.S. defense market, Thales North America Inc., Alexandria, Va., has appointed Michael Alvis director of ground-based programs. He formerly was vice president of marketing and chief operating officer at Horizon Software International. Alvis served in the U.S. Army for 27 years, retiring as a colonel. Crane Aerospace & Electronics, Lynnwood, Wash., recently appointed Kevin Wright vice president of strategic new ventures.
